Please call to schedule an outpatient ultrasound for your pet.  This appointment requires that your pet be fasted (no food) for 12 hours prior to the appointment time.  This appointment may also require sedation for your pet to accommodate imaging.  If your pet is known to require sedation prior to veterinary visits, please obtain pre-appointment sedatives from your primary veterinarian.  During this appointment, you will not speak with a veterinarian.  Your pet’s abdomen will be shaved, the ultrasound will be performed, and the final ultrasound report will be sent to your family veterinarian.  If your pet requires immediate care based on the ultrasound results, you will be transferred to the emergency department where you will speak with an emergency veterinarian and further treatments and diagnostics will be discussed at this time.
